70 kg for a dual cab canopy, the factory's figure. Packed for shipping, canopy and carton together, it is 80.5 kg for the Hilux and D-Max and 83 kg for the Ranger. Weight matters for payload: what you save against a heavier canopy goes back into water, recovery gear and the fridge. The roof is tested to 2,500 kg under static load, which is a strength figure about the structure, not a driving load.

Dust stays out: every door hangs on a continuous dustproof hinge and closes onto automotive-grade seals with a pressure lever that pulls it onto the seal. For heat, a quilted insulation option lines the roof and doors, which keeps the inside workable in summer and cuts condensation on cold mornings.

It clamps to the tub with no drilling, takes about two hours, and comes off clean, so the vehicle goes back to standard when you sell it. The subframe takes the full fitout of drawers, cupboards, tables and 12V power without tools. No Australian fitment centre is open yet; before ordering opens we email everyone on the list with where and how fitting will work.

A 5-year transferable frame warranty plus five years of servicing. Transferable matters: the warranty follows the canopy to the next owner, so the vehicle and the canopy hold their resale value together rather than the cover dying with the first sale. Seals, struts, locks and hinges are wear items covered for two years.

In Australia the first container carries three: Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger (next-gen, 2023 on) and Isuzu D-Max, each in the cab sizes that ute is sold in. Canopies are built per vehicle and per generation rather than bent to fit, and the range in South Africa covers Land Cruiser 79, Navara, Amarok, GWM and more.
