Bushtech Aluminium Canopy for Toyota Hilux
Gullwing aluminium canopy, built in Johannesburg

First containers land October; fitting from November 2026, at Johannesburg or a partner centre — and you can wait for it. 8 platforms in range in Australia, across every cab size we build.
A Bushtech double cab canopy weighs about 65 kg in its standard configuration, which is why it is the aluminium canopy people fit when payload matters: the weight you save against a heavier canopy goes straight back into water, recovery gear and the fridge, and the rooftop load rating is tested to 2500 kg static.
The load area is sealed with continuous dustproof hinges and automotive grade door seals, so corrugation dust stays out of your gear. For heat, a thermal insulation option lines the roof and doors, keeping the interior workable in summer and cutting condensation on cold mornings, which matters for food boxes and electronics.
The canopy clamps to the tub with no drilling, comes off clean, and takes the full fit-out range of drawers, cupboards, tables and 12V power without tools. Fitting is done by specialists, and because nothing is drilled the vehicle goes back to standard when you sell it.
Every canopy carries a 5-year transferable frame warranty plus five years of servicing, and the transferability matters: the warranty follows the canopy to the next owner, which holds the resale value of the vehicle and the canopy together rather than dying with the first sale.
Canopies are built per vehicle and per generation rather than bent to fit: Toyota Hilux (Vigo, Revo and the 2026 Travo), Ford Ranger (T6 and next-gen), Isuzu D-Max, Toyota Land Cruiser 79, Nissan Navara and Patrol, VW Amarok, GWM P-Series and more, each in the cab configurations that vehicle is sold in.
Australian canopies sell by pre-order ahead of the first containers landing in Adelaide. A reservation takes a refundable deposit against a numbered build slot at a published price, and you can cancel any time before dispatch for a full refund of the deposit, so holding a slot carries no risk while you decide.
