Two hours, no drilling, and a short list of things worth checking while the fitter is still standing next to you.
A canopy is fitted, not delivered. Fitment takes roughly two hours at our Johannesburg factory or at a partner centre, and you can wait for it.
Nothing is cut and nothing is drilled
The canopy clamps to the tub and to the factory tie down points. We do not drill into the chassis and we do not cut the vehicle. That matters at trade in, and it matters more on a lease or a company vehicle where a modification can become somebody else's problem.
Your tub is measured first
We check the tub and the tie down points before anything is lifted. Model years drift. A Ranger from 2021 is not always the same as a Ranger from 2023, and the measurement takes a few minutes against the cost of finding out later.
Check these before you leave
Open and close both gullwing doors and watch that they sit down evenly on the seals. Check the seal is bedded all the way round with no gaps at the corners. Confirm the locks are keyed alike if you asked for that. Look at the clamp points and make sure nothing is fouling the tub lip.
Ask the fitter to confirm the load rating that applies to your setup and write it down. Ask when the first annual service is due. It is included for five years and people forget to use it.
It comes off the same way
A canopy that clamps on can be unclamped. If you sell the vehicle and want to keep the canopy, or you need the tub open for a job, it comes off cleanly and leaves the tub as it was.
